Once you create your job seeker profile under Newjobs, you can access it by clicking your avatar in the upper right-hand corner and then Your profile.
Set up your profile
When you set up your profile, you have the option to add your details manually or import your resume details by uploading a file. Workable 'reads through' your resume and parses the information to automatically fill in areas of your profile.
To ensure your resume is read correctly, follow these guidelines:
- Use files up to 5 MB with types .pdf, .doc, .docx, .odt or .rtf.
- Divide the text into clear sections and use easily readable fonts
- Only include the email you want the employer to contact you at
- Avoid using too many images in the document
- Avoid resumes that only consist of an image (i.e., 'infographics' type of resume)
The information you add under your profile will be automatically filled in the application form. If you change your profile data on the application form, you will be asked if you wish to update your profile accordingly.
Review past applications
Click Applications to access a list of your past applications, including the application dates and links to open jobs. If the job has closed, it will be indicated as such.
Personalised job recommendations
Once you register on the site, you can have personalised job recommendations after adding at least one past work experience to your profile. More experience and education entries help the system better understand the skills and seniority, and match you more precisely with the right roles.
Right after filling your profile in with at least one experience entry, you will be encouraged to review your tailored job recommendations.
The jobs shown on the homepage will be tailored to the job seeker's past work experience, education, seniority, and skills. The location that is used is extracted from your profile’s address or, if not available, from your current location.
You can select the “For you” option in the job title field to find jobs that match your profile, leveraging our AI technology, and identifying opportunities that couldn’t have been found using just a keyword search. The “For you” option can be applied to any location you provide and combined with any filters you choose.
Account settings
Click Settings to change your language preferences, profile sharing options, and email notifications (as set in the welcome screen the first time you access your profile).
Note: If you opt out of sharing your profile with recruiters, your profile will be removed from our sourcing tools.
Delete your account
Under the Settings page, you can also delete your profile, which action will also:
- Delete your saved jobs and any associated history and preferences.
- Remove your profile from our sourcing tools.
Already submitted applications won't be affected by this action.

FAQs
- Can I update my profile's email address?

You cannot change the email address you used to register your Newjobs profile because it is used to sign you in and to be contacted by employers. If you wish to use another email, you will need to:
- Delete your current account as described above.
- Register a new profile in Newjobs using the correct email address.
